tried on virtualbox with my AMD and didnt work ‘cannot read from the boot medium’, i cant even mount the image or extract it.

Worked perfectly for me.. as for the disk utility problem. This is due to the fact some restore images dont seem to like to cross between snow leopard and leopard. So if you have a leopard, restore via disk utility on it. Otherwise if you’re stuck with a Snow Leopard, follow these instructions: http://www.onpaws.com/2009/10/fixing-disk-utility-image-restore/

Stuffit 11 just keeps expanding…

got all 55

shows 386.9 MB on external drive and still expanding, while the Progress window shows that it is 99.99999% done… for a LONNNNNG time.

I lost my family pack install discs and Apple told me they no longer re-send software out to us po foke, if’n we lose our frickin’ copy. Waaaaaahhhh!
