It’s the tale of an adorable little robot, cast out from a mechanical city by accident. He must find his way back home, rescue his girlfriend and prevent a gang of robot hoodlums from setting off a bomb. Inventory puzzles are the game’s main currency, but it has a refreshing disposable take on this old genre standard. Once a puzzle is overcome, items are automatically discarded, so there’s none of the inventory bloat that other adventure games suffer from. It’s a streamlined procession of smaller brain-teasing chunks which lead seamlessly into one another while keeping their mysteries neatly separated.

Hello, i downloaded the four parts and joined with split&concat. After that i tried to open it with stuffit but was impossible. can anyone help me, please?

i guess split&concat extracted all parts without any problems, right ?! – any error message ?!

part 4 – 59.4 mb

by now you should have a single .zip archive file.
i suggest you to try another program, to open the archive, like “unarchiver” “Tasty Unzip” “iArchiver” etc..

i know that “Samorost” was their first game and later “Samorost 2″ but i haven´t played it yet nor took a closer look. – there is a demo version on their homepage if i remember it right.
so what app did you used to extract the single machinarium.zip? It is not working for me. I use Snow Leopard
I managed to extract it using iArchiver but I cannot run the dmg
ok. try the best possible solution for this problem:
.
01) open “Disk Utility” – (use “Spotlight” or go to your “Utilities” folder, which is within the “Applications” folder.)
.
02) hit he “Verify” button – and choose the .dmg image you want to open. – (don´t worry if DU tells, that there is no checksum to verify.)
.
03) now your image can be found within DU on the left side, where all the other images are.
.
04) right click on your .dmg and choose “open disk image” from the sub-menue. – enjoy !

here´s another way, by using the command line:
01) make sure your image is on your desktop.
02) open terminal (repeat step 01 from above to find it.)
03) once terminal is open type:
cd desktop
open imagename.dmg
“open” and simply drag the image into terminal

i tried both methods suggested, but no luck
when i used the disk utility method, i tried to open disk image but it said “unable to attach “machinarium_full_en_dmg”.(no mountable file systems)
Do you have any suggestions, of what i could do
(no mountable file systems) means that you have a serious problems to get the image open.

rapidshares`new policy obviously is, to distract free downloader because they want to generate more money this way, or their servers are busy right now.
